Hi there all you mac experts! I need you to help me solve a problem with my macbook. It has happened before and was fixed, but this time I dont want them to backup my HD then reformat it and then restore it, I want an easier solution. So, whenever I turn on my macbook I usually gets to the apple logo with the spinning loader below it and it dosen't stop spinning. Other times it has that loading bar that is there when you boot into safe mode, and then it goes back to just loading. Just before It started screwing up, I remember cloning my hard drive to an external, and then using an application called diskwarrior, (By Alsoft) to check for errors. I'm not exactly sure what happened, but if any of you have ever had a similar situation or know how to fix it, please reply!

Macbook Specs
2GB Ram
250GB HD
2.66GHZ processor
Late 2009 Edition
(Tell me if you want to know more specs).

Considering you already have a decent backup, why not just use it? I mean, that's exactly what backups are for ... to make life easier when your CPU reads a 2.

However if you suspect that disk warrior is the cause of your problems, you might try booting from your Mac OS installation disks and running Disk Utility to verify the volume.

Its not really that much of a backup, its more of a clone. I cloned the hard drive so I could boot from it, and as for the Mac OS installation disk I've tried that and It didn't help. Does anyone else have any ideas?

Oh and as for the clone, I can't boot from that either.

Try pressing cmd+V which should show the verbose mode when booting. Hopefully there will be a message which will give a clue.

Take it to your nearest Apple store or Best Buy. And take your external HD too.

Or google startup commands in a working computer. Or use recovery HD on startup (option key).

Thanks for your help, but it was a bit of a late reply. I ended up getting a new Macbook and external HD.
