Is there a script to control Keyboard Backlight?

Mac Specs: Macbook Pro 2008 OS X 10.5.8

I'm trying to find an utility to control my MBP's keyboard backlight just like Lab Thick but via Terminal or Applescript.
I spent hours searching on google without finding anything..

There's actually one guy who made it but the download link is broken and I could not communicate with the guy in anyways. Here's the link:
