    Deleting a User Account.
    Hi All,

    I'm running OS X 10.4.11,

    I've two accounts, one that I never use, I'm trying to delete this, but...

    In accounts it won't allow me to select the that account, therefore not allowing me to click on the - symbol to delete,

    I'm logged in as admin. Anyone shed some light would help me loads.

    You need to click the padlock at the bottom left corner and enter your password

    2.8 GHz MacBook Pro 10.10.2, 8 GB mem, iPhone 6+
    If that second account is an admin account I would suggest keeping it. Having a second admin account with an appropriate password is a good thing. If, for example, you start having some issues with the primary account logging into the second account and running the same program can help identify such problems as corrupted preferences.

    Thanks. I don't remember where I picked up that suggestion. Maybe it was on OSXFaq. I kinda miss that site.

    Of course, if that account is hosed, it should be deleted (carefully!) and a new one created.

    If you are going to create/use a second account for troubleshooting purposes create that account while things are stable. Don't use this as a "guest" account run things from this troubleshooting account only if you are trying to rule out the possibility of problems in your regular account.
