I'm actually new to this, and would like to ask how can someone add /usr/local/bin to PATH.

If someone can explain it step by step I would be very thankful.

Thanks a lot.

You can place a file in /etc/paths.d/ which should do the job. Run the following command at the Terminal prompt:
Code:
sudo echo "/usr/local/bin" >> /etc/paths.d/<insert name>
Replace <insert name> with something descriptive. That said, /usr/local/bin should be in your path already (IIRC).

See here for more info.
