I just bought a new Powerbook 17 and I want to use the Tiger install disks that came with it to install Tiger on my Powerbook 15.

I insert the CD and boot up to it. Then is tries to start the installation process but I receive an error stating "Alert: This software cannot be installed on this computer." Then it gives me the choice to restart or startup disk.

Is it possible to put Tiger on my Powerbook 15?

No you can't use your new restore discs on your old powerbook. The restore discs are made specifically for your model of powerbook and will only work on that, you will have to purchase tiger to put it on your 15"

Don't forget to use the new User Reputation System
