I just switched to a macbook pro 15" 2.66 ghz i7 from a macbook 13"

i would like to have it running perfectly

here were some of my habits with the last one.

i slept with it on everyday it did go to sleep in a while but i used it as an alarm for getting up

i use it a lot for school so i normally just close it but it in my bag and keep on going should i shut down each time im gonna move.


i do a lot of browsing and downloading what is the best way to keep my computer clean? I normally use onyx to clean it how often should i run onyx if its the appropriate thing to use.


any other recommendations and any things i should do to prevent ruining it like not putting headphones on the aux plug

i cant use the search feature i tried using it before posting this and i try now and when i type something in and click search it just goes to a white screen.

so can anyone help me


at least tell me about leaving it on all night and if its safe to leave it on and walk around with it closed in my bag

That's fine, no need to shut it down

Using OnyX once every couple of months or so is more than enough.

The main thing is to just use it and enjoy it.
