E-mail querie?

I am not sure which forum this should go in so apologies if this is the wrong one.

I am new to Macs and have just noticed that an e-mail that I have just sent has a small thumbnail photo of myself in the top right hand corner of the mail. It is in the same bar as the address, etc. I have tried to find out how to remove it but can't find any way to do so? I only noticed it when I had a look in my sent mail folder and have no idea as to how long it has been sending the photo?

Can anyone tell me how to do this please?

It is not actually sending the photo out unless you have gone in and added it as a part of your signature.

Just send a test email to yourself and a friend to see.

For the record, the photo is on your "Address Card" in Address Book.

I believe the only email recipients who will see the picture are Mobile Me contacts.
