This only happens on occasion and is a very weird problem.

I'm running Snow Leopard version 10.6.3 on a MacBook and this only happens occasionally (once a month). At random times, no matter what site I am viewing some audio will start playing in the background. It always discusses the Kansas City Chiefs or something else football related. Its always the ESPN sportscasters, and randomly other people will be interviewed but they are always discussing football.

Granted, I am very big Chiefs fan and I do a lot of reading about them online. However, this audio plays at a very random time and I am 100% positive that even after I close every single application (force quit or not) it still plays. I have forced quit every application, reopened them, and forced quit them again. Nothing is running in dashboard, and I am just stumped.

It's not a vital problem by any means since it normally stops within 10 minutes. I just think it is very bizzarre that it starts in no consistent situation, yet every application is closed while it is running.

Any advice would be appreciated,

Thanks!

Once it starts playing, have you taken a look at Activity Monitor to see what process is running?
