I am wondering if it's possible to set up hotkeys/macros for something?

Many times during the day, I go into settings to do 2 things:
1. Hide the dock
2. Hide the date and time from the menubar.

I do this multiple times a day and then bring them back. Is there a way that I can setup a hotkey for this action?

For example, one hotkey would hide the dock and hide the date/time from the menu bar and then the same hotkey would bring them back?

Thanks in advance.

The key combo to show/hide the Dock is OPTION-COMMAND-D. This can be modified in System Preferences > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts. I don't know of an existing way to do this with the date/time. You could probably accomplish that by using a macro-recording application that can auto-launch the System Preferences, click and change the setting for you, and so on. You should even be able to do this with Automator.

Standing request for all troubleshooting: Please provide your Mac model/year and OS version. Also advise us if you have used or installed any antivirus, security, or "cleaning" software on your Mac. If you have installed MacKeeper in particular, you are hereby advised to uninstall it.
