I recently installed 10.6 on my iMac and MBP. After the install, I got six or popups claiming there was a font conflict with certain fonts I had installed. It made the suggestion to move those fonts to the trash. I did this. However after install, any menus (popup and pulldown) from the system have a font that is unreadable. The characters are all like keyboard letter A's.
Any thoughts or suggestions on how to fix? I can't even decipher any of my menus to get out!??! I attached a couple photos of the menus. thanks |

I've always erased the hard drive before installing a new OS and never had any problems. But thats just me, i'm sure others will tell you thats wrong.
where there any fonts you installed before you updated? Have you installed all the updates for 10.6? What do things look like in Font Book? |
