title says it all. i would like to purchase and download 10.5 for my ibook G4. i am running 10.4.11 now. i bought the ibook used and it WAS running 10.5.8 when i got it. i wanted to do a clean restart and i cleared the HDD and loaded my apple discs that came with it, only to discover it wasnt 10.5.8, but 10.4.11. im having a few problems because i was really digging that whole 10.5.8 shiz.

so, where can i PURCHASE legally and download 10.5 online?

OS X is not available as a legal download anywhere.

Your best bet is going to be calling Apple. Last it was reported here, you could still get it direct from them. Next is eBay, Amazon, etc. You will need to make sure you get the black disc not any of the grey system specific discs that proliferate on eBay.

I cannot be held responsible for the things that come out of my mouth.
In the Windows world, most everything folks don't understand is called a virus.

It's not a good idea to post your e-mail address on a public forum.

1. You might get more spam.

2. The idea of the forum is to share knowledge with a community, not provide it to just one person.
