Snow Leopard on Imac 17" 1.83ghz Intel Core Duo - will it work?
    Hi All

Can anybody just confirm (or is anybody running) Snow Leopard will install and run well on an intel core duo 1.83 ghz machine (ram currently at 1GB - will be upgraded to 2gb max this week!) currently running tiger 10.4.11.

Looking to do a clean install from SL disk using disk utility using the upgrade disk

    Cheers

I had Snow Leopard running on my Core2Duo 1.83Ghz Mac Mini with 3GB RAM and it worked perfectly fine. Ran Leopard before that..

Snow Leopard just requires that you have an Intel-based Mac..the Core Duo 1.83Ghz with only 1GB might not be the snappiest things around, but it'll load and run..

    Regards

Yes, it will run and run well. 2GB will definitely improve performance, though.

Hope that was all sorted. Just thought I'd point out the difference (3 minus 1).
