Lots of times I am working in a certain Finder window and then need to hop to something on the sidebar without reaching for the mouse or the TrackPad. I am such a keyboard shortcut type of girl and haven't seen anywhere over the internet what the shortcut is to hop to the sidebar. Is there such a shortcut or does it not exist?

- Currently using a MacBook Pro running OS X Mavericks
- syncs with iPhone 5S, iPod Touch, and iPad Mini

While you have Finder open, head for Go on the menu bar. It'll provide you with the shortcuts for the items in the Sidebar.

In case it'll come in handy, here's a little Mac keyboard symbols chart.

Oh, this is very handy to know. Thanks for that. But do you know a way that I could basically hop to the sidebar and then scroll down the list of items in the sidebar? Basically, I've created a bunch of custom folders and so forth on the sidebar so that I could access it easier, and just need a way to hop to them with the keyboard and scroll down the list.

It's okay. It appears no one else knows either.
