Has anybody successfully been able to remove the Private Browsing feature from Safari? I have been wanting to do this but unable to... I have read several methods but none seem to work... it has to do with a compile .nib that Interface Builder cannot open to complete work needed to delete out the private browsing feature... any help would be greatly appreciated...

Welcome to Mac Forums
1.Install X code if you haven't already.
2. Go to applications folder in Finder
3. Right click or Control+click on safari>show package contents
4. Contents>Resources>English.lproj folder
5. Double click MainMenu.nib to open it in interface builder
6. Look at the window with the safari menu, click on Safari to expand it, then click on the Private Browsing menu item.
7. Hit the delete key and it disappears!
8. Hit command+s to save, close interface builder if you want, and relaunch safari.

Repeat every time you update Safari

I have seen that and tried it several times but Interface Builder gives me a message saying "cannot open compiled .nibs, find source document" I'm beginning to think it's not possible... thanks for the help though...

I can see that having Safari 4 and Snow Leopard has changed the process..... not having luck finding a workaround.... but, we'll see, maybe someone will come along with a solution.

...or continue to post "solutions" that the OP has already tried, since they don't know what those might be.
