OK so I cloned tiger to my external HD. I tried to install SL on my Imac after doing a clean install with a zero out erase. About 20mins in it said that some support files were not able to load and that the install failed
. Now I have everything on my ex HD and I don't know how to move it back so I don't have to have it hooked up 24/7 when on the computer. Can anyone help?

What software did you use to clone Tiger to the external hard drive? Not all software that can copy the hard drive contents to an external drive will render the external bootable.
If you used something like SuperDuper or Carbon Copy Cloner, you could boot from the external and then clone the contents back to the internal drive. Regards. |
