Is it possible to make OS X interface look like this?

Ah, memories! I'm afraid that's too "old school" for OSX. The new look was all the rage when it debuted. (that looks weird, but Dictionary likes it)

Not really

Easier to but a G3 or G4 Mac and just run OS9, at least a G4 will still easily connect to the INternet under OS9

Much as I liked OS9 back in the day, be prepared for it to crash on a daily basis

Yes unfortunately OS 9 (and earlier) did have it's instabilities.

Not really.

I ran OS 9 up until just over two years ago, and rarely had crashes, especially after 9.2 came out. I still have my old G3 with OS9 on it, but it's only been turned on a handful of times since I upgraded.

lou, any luck finding an app to show the "classic" look?

My old mac memories don't include any blocky mice.

And I'm slowly making my way through /System/Library and making little discoveries along the way (I can have my yellow selection colour, yay). I'll get there some day.

Oh wow. The blocky mouse soooo pre-dates OS 9. I used the boxy original Apple ADB Mouse in the late 80s.

To get the OS 9 sort of thing going on, install multiXFinder (free) or ASM (not free). Both of these will put the Application Menu from OS 8.5-9.2.2 back on the right-hand end of the menubar! Then just hide your Dock and there you have it!

multiXFinder (Warning: Italian website. The download is the big link with the first word "Scarica")
