I can't find my external hard drive! Help!

My Thinkpad (windows) just died, and the computer guy took out my hard drive and put it in casing so it's now an external hard drive. My friend has given me her MacBook to use, but when I plug the external hard drive in I can't find it..I've checked the Finder, but I can't see it anywhere. PLEASE HELP! THANKS! |
