how to create a shortcut to paste certain text

I don't think you can do that using shortcuts but it can be done. If I understand what you want to do correctly you need text expansion software. This software assigns blocks of text to keyboard shortcuts. One such program is TypeIt4Me. There are other such programs but this is one genre of software I haven't used.

There are also clipboard extender applications, such as CopyPaste, that allow you to save more than one item on the clipboard, and save it permanently. Well, you can save it until you accidently overwrite it! You access saved text strings, photos, etc. through the keyboard, or an image of the clipboards with your mouse.
