I kept my 10 Gig HD as my main when I added an 80 Gig for extra stuff.

Question now is: I have OS 9.2 and 10.3 on there and only 3.1 or 3.2 gigs left of space. I just ordered the Tiger Upgrade so I need 10.3 Panther for it to work.

What would be my best solution? Reformat the 80 and use that now? Do I need 9.2? (BTW-When purchased on eBay, no 9.2 discs came with it. neye: )Can I copy what's on the 10 to a partition of the 80 and use it there as the boot drive?

(I'm still used to PC's, sorry about all the Q's!)

I currently try to place Application and program files (ie Office) on the 80 gig to save space on the 10 gig.

Any help or advice would be appreciated!

Use this program on 10.3, it removes local settings for any unneeded languages. I removed all but Spanish & Japanese and that gave me 1gb of space back.

I installed 10.4 and 9.2.2 on a friends G3 with a 6GB hard drive. I was suprised at how well it ran. On the 10.4 install I didn't install any of the languages or xcode. So it's possible to do it. Hope this helps.

i used this program and cleared space from Panther and also cleared space form Tiger after install. Sweet!

now i want to install iLife but i only have 3.05 gig left in the main 10gig drive. (also install iWork) i think it needs 4.x gig.

any other ideas to clear up space?
