I am trying to format my HD so I can partition it, but it wont allow me, the options are grayed off. I am the administrator, and it still wont let me. I have OSX 10.5.8 and I want to use bootcamp, but it says I have to format it and partition it, and it will not allow me to do so. What am I doing wrong?

Also, I have tried looking around everywhere, and cannot seem to find anyone with a similar problem.

Are you trying to format it while you are booted from the drive you are trying to format?

As you must boot from the Leopard install DVD, insert disc, hold dwon 'C" after chimes. Make sure you have a backup on external drives or such, as formatting will wipe the drive.
