Um, sorry to be so ignorant on this one guys, but it appears that Java is not installed on my Mac. I'm almost at the point of reinstalling the whole kittencaboodle (OS X) myself, since I've had nothing but problems since our (anti-Mac) I.T. guy installed Snow Leopard in October. Anyhoo, by the screen shot, would you concur that somehow Java was not installed, or trashed by I.T.? I know this is a dumb question, but I didn't know if the application is named differently somehow and I'm not looking for the correct thing.

Java is part of the system software, which Spotlight and the Finder don't normally search.

You can test Java from your browser by going here:
How do I test whether Java is working on my computer?

Or from the Terminal by entering "java -version" and pressing return.

Thanks so much for your help, t. I'm guessing the attachment means Java is a-O.K. then, so I'll look for other causes. The problem I'm having is that I'm unable to access Kodak InSite (that one of our vendors uses for PDF proofs). Another attachment is below...maybe that'll provide some clues?!

Possibly a Java script incompatibility (are Microsoft still messing with Sun's JAVA..??)...

It could also be bad Java programming at their end.
