For some reason pboard stopped booting up on my computer (running osx 10.5). As a result I can no longer copy and paste, as you can imagine a pretty annoying problem. So I looked for some solutions on the internet and the main fix was to make sure the /private/tmp file wasnt somehow deleted. I checked it and it was still there. So now I don't know what to do... Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

easiest way is to go to apple>force quit. It will have finder there in sub menu, and when you select finder, the force quit tab changes to relaunch.

Try restarting your machine. I would advise you to run pboard manually but the man page (see here) expressly states that you should not run it manually.
