Hey there, just wondering if you can change the preview image in cover flow in finder.

I have a folder with movies, and it shows a preview of the movie, but it happens to be black or the company titles for these movies.

I can change the icon(using ctr i), but not the screen grab it shows as the preview in cover flow.

If i can just move the screen grab 20 seconds into the .mp4s i can have a effective preview.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

My thought is to find software to edit the .mp4 files.

I doubt if there is a way built in to the OS to "shift" the preview. There might be a hack to do this I suppose.

I recently downloaded a program called MetaX for the same reason you are wanting. It lets you edit the ID Tags on the .m4v files. I haven't tried it on any other file type, but I think .mp4 and .m4v are basically the same type/kind of file.
