I'm trying to install JAI in my iMac Java(TM) Advanced Imaging Image I/O Tools Installation, and this in its case requires write permission to my JDK, such that it is located in /Library/Java/Home.

When I right-click at "Home" and choose "Get Info", I don' see the "Sharing and Permission" option.

How can I change the permissions of "Home" here?

Thanks.

/Library/Java/Home isn't in your home directory, it's in the root directory. There are two Library directory types - user and system. The path you gave is the system Library path.

Thanks vansmith for your reply. So, what can I do here to change permissions?
