My iMac keeps waking itself up after I set it to sleep. I have no idea why this is happening. I want to say it is because of the Bluetooth mouse and keyboard but I don't have any supporting evidence.
I checked the energy saver settings to allow sleep and allow HDDs to sleep, but my iMac still wakes. I don't use InsomniaX but do use Caffeine, but I never leave it on if I want my iMac to sleep. |

I have the exact same problem you described...wakes up, displays that the keyboard or mouse lost connection.
Seems to be very intermittent...happens a few days in a row for a week...then disappears for 3-4 months. Fresh batteries?, not sure but I could never nail down the problem. |

Hi -
I have the same problem with bluetooth mighty mouse and iMac 2.2 (2008). Can't put the machine into Sleep mode for more than 3 seconds. This just started occurring - and intermittently- after a year and a half of pretty reasonable performance. It persists through my recent upgrade to Snow Leopard. If I use another (wired) mouse, problem goes away. I've checked all the power settings, etc. A bit tedious, really, not having Sleep mode. |
