ever since i switched to snow leopard ive noticed that in my system prefs the selection bubbles have not been showing up and the drop down menu has been fuzzy or not there, also in safari the selection bubbles dont show up. the square shaped ones do but not the circles. i was wondering if anyone else has had this problem or could help me with it.

Safari Menu > Reset Safari...
(If none of the options help, there are other things to try.) com.apple.systempreferences.plist Find that file. In my 10.5 it is located in Users/MyUserName/Library/Preferences Move the file to your Desktop while not in SP, then fire up SP, and a new plist file with the above name will be created in the above folder. It will set all SPs back to defaults. If the problem still persists, you can put the file back, since it is not the problem. That way, any prefs you changed will be restored. |

Reinstalled SL as an upgrade again with that stuff left over from Leopard or as a clean install and then installed all that?
GeekTools and Application enhancer are going to be the primary suspects there. You're going to need to run their uninstallers, not just move the app to the trash. I cannot be held responsible for the things that come out of my mouth. In the Windows world, most everything folks don't understand is called a virus. |
