Really slow internet - all of a sudden?

Hi i'm running a Os X 10.6.1

ive had it about 6 months and the internet has been running really nicely - up until yesterday - our provider is virgin and i use airport for a wireless connection

any ways i can clean and fix this problem?

please go into detail as im new to this.

Maybe the problem is Virgin's end, or perhaps a restart of the router may have helped? They do need a shake up from time to time. Particularly if there have been thunderstorms or power interruptions recently over your way.

Often shutting down everything and doing a sequential re start can do wonders.
