RNDIS/Ethernet Gadget (Ethernet over USB)

Does any know in which version of the MacOS, was the driver for a RNDIS/Ethernet Gadget introduced.

I tested with 10.5.2 and Ethernet over USB was not supported but in 10.5.8 it was.

Also in what version of 10.4 is Ethernet over USB supported.
