In an article to gain access to a backup of my home directory that has filevault turned on - it states that I need to change the location filepath of my home_loc sparseimage.

Currently the file path is set to :

//localhost/users/......

I need to add the filepath of the sparseimage and that sits on an external drive, could you tell me what I would have to type in to link it to the file?

If my external harddisk was called MacOS Extended would the path be:

file://MacOS Extended/Users/.....?
