i am getting tiger on the 29th. i have 2 questions? tiger is not going to come with ilife? and, when i reformat my harddrive and then install tiger, could i bring back ilife 04?

Tiger will not come with any form of iLife. If you want to keep your existing install of iLife you and do a simple upgrade, which will keep the program. Or, if you chose to to a fresh install of Tiger you can always reinstall iLife 04 from scratch which will still work just fine with Tiger.

i never updated the OS on my mac(s)
actually somone updated my iBook to
10.2 I want to keep all my stuff and just update things
There isnt anyway to mess up and delete everything is there
....Oh and
If i go to the apple store on the 29th will I be able to buy TIGER??
Or will I get run over by a herd of nerds like myself??

From what I understand a basic upgrade is supposed to be pretty dang simple, and relatively safe. That being said, it is ALWAYS a good idea to do a back-up of your system before doing ANY major software upgrades/installs, regardless of OS.
