Hi, I am desperate for help, I have installed Snow Leopard on my iMac, all seemed fine until I fired up iMovie which after a while just crashed giving the message "lib3ivxEnc.dylib plugin".
This is quiet distessing to say the least as I have just spent the last week editing my holiday video (and yes I now realize it was a very stupid thing to install before I finished it)
So where do I go from here
I would be very gratefull for your help.

"lib3ivxEnc.dylib" looks like it would be part of the 3ivx codec.

3ivx MPEG-4 5.0.2 - Audio and Video Compression

It should have either come with an uninstall script, or instructions on how to uninstall it yourself. If you have trouble, see the site above.

All ok now, I did install SL but this was a bum steer as I upgraded all my software at the same time, turns out iMovie 09 8.0.5 is the problem, once I dragged 8.0.4 back from time machine all was restored
QUOTE Thanks
