So I reinstalled Leopard to a new partition and used the migration assistant to transfer my apps. Now when I launch certain apps (mostly adobe from what i've seen) it loads the old program from my old partition. Any help is grately appreciated.

Sometimes it is necessary after upgrading or migrating to do a clean install of the application. Notice this particularly with CS and MS Office. Maybe they want to be sure the software is originally installed from the CD? You are able to use/re-use the same key code.
