First, I tried to copy a mp3 song from itunes to my desktop... don't work...so I tried to copy the song from my library to my desktop and a window appeared saying (the item«xxxxxxx» cannot be replaced because it is invisible??)

What is that and why is it invisible...and how do I make it visible so I can copy it on my desktop?????????

Why do you want a copy of a song on the desktop? The folder system is nicely application specific in OS X But have you looked at the file info on the song? (Apple I)

You don't need to have it in the desktop to attach it. Start the email and click attach and select your user name and double click down from music until you see the song and select that song with choose file make sure you know what library sublist you expect to find it in

I would check any differences in permissions from the songs and the library sublist they come from

I am actually trying to use iTunes just to convert to AIFF to use in another application and I can't use it from the iTunes folder. I get this error on only 2 of the 30 files I converted. Thoughts?
