Check your System Preferences in the Displays and Energy Saver sections.

It's in the Energy Saver section - uncheck the item that says something about dim display before sleep.I cannot be held responsible for the things that come out of my mouth.

System Preferences > Energy Saver > uncheck "Automatically reduce brightness before display goes to sleep." Good luck."The early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese."
