    Finder is acting erratic
Just now, I went upstairs to bed, brought my MBP, to do some browsing, take it off the adapter, and reset the energy settings to 'save energy, log out....

    and then I got this

    and this

It says "Unable to open Finder".

Anyone know what's going on here??

    yours truly...

Give a read through this to see if some of the solutions help. You shouldn't have to reinstall - if that is the only thing you're left with, report back and we'll go from there.

Thanks a lot vansmith, the sudo shutdown command line fixed me right up.
