okay... i go to a small highschool that uses macs... the new ones that are all white and they use mac os x or whatever. i am not a mac person and personally dont care for them. WELL i do have experience with pc's and stumbled upon a loop hole in the security system on the macs at school. i was changing colors, backgrounds, and inverted the colors. well i got caught by the district (actually someone else did but i showed them how to do this) and they blocked that part of the thingy too. well i need to figure out how to get past them again so that i can get my colors back to normal. do you know how hard it is to get pics for reports when the colors are inverted??? lol :black:

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Why don't you just use the mac's for work like you are supposed to

I'm pretty sure that would be Illegal! Besides you say that you don't care for Macs but you want help from users to do something Illegal! You've got some big ones!

i'm in the mood for lists today.
1) So everyone at your school has their own computer that they use daily?
2) Trust me, when you look back at yourself in a few years, you'll find that a)getting around the system wasn't that hard and b) you'll feel like a loser, 'cause you spent all this time doing it and it was pointless...Trust me, I've been through this before.
3) I can't tell you how to get around it because a)i don't know what they locked or what they used to lock it and b)ethically?

They probably put an admin password on System Preferences or just made him a limited user

ah, that would be all too straight forward. hahaha. I think it's funny the way schools try to protect their computers and fail miserably...*grumble w/ own school's computer problems.

ok, there are 13 emacs - g4-1 512ram, 2.5 ghz

there is a district computer security block thingy... and its for all the schools in the district... lol... anyway ya there are admin password blocks on the system prefs thingys... and the reason why i want to do this is because there is NOTHING else to do... plus i wanna see what a mac can really do cuz i might buy one!

emac's nice for school (it's original purpose, if i remember correctly), but I don't think it can really tear it up compared to one of the bad boy power macs. hahaha. The emac (from what I know) is pretty stipped down when it comes to software (+school software, -cool software). Theoretically (I am not advacting for for it), you can bust past the password and then download some stuff, but you never know if the internet traffic is monitored by the school (mine was, too. Pain in the ****. Granted I had friends who worked in the computer depot, so I had the in, but yeah...)
