OS 10.5 - mouse scroll:up no down

my mouse suddenly stopped scrolling down,if i go down a page with the right side bar i can wheel up but not down.It was working one minute then not.I didnt knowingly hit any settings.Any ideas?

There are number of threads on forum re quicky cleaning but if u want a more permanent clean try this it is not too tricky.
