OS 10.6 - Have I lost my data

Installing 10.6 right now, did not have option to upgrade or install new or anything like that. Just installed with the option it gave me.
Is it doing a fresh install or upgrade? It didn't seem to say it was formatting or anything like this.

Mine just changed QuickTime and the other apps that are bundled with SL.... all of my other files were exactly the same as before.

All files were in tact. I did in fact do upgrade. Its a little disappointing it was not called upgraded though.

The disappointment would have been from the thousands upon thousands of people clicking on that Install OS X button without a clue of what they were doing (as you did), only to discover all their data was gone from an erase and install.
