symondavis has a spectacular aura about
Mac Specs: MacBook(W) 2Gb, 2Ghz & Bluetooth Mighty Mouse, Now my Apple glows colours, Red Apple and Green Leaf.
Mmmm.. still not quite the thing I was thinking of.

Errrrm I'll try to explain myself better.

The blue highlight over Shutdown is it possible to move the highlight to restart and then use 'Enter' to select it? Like in Windows you can Tab or shift-Tab between the options like 'Cancel' and 'Ok 'etc etc.

I hope thats better

Mac Specs: 2GHz Mac Mini 2GB RAM 160GB 10.6.1 | MDD DP 1.25GHz G4 1.5GB RAM 10.4.11 | 233MHz iMac G3 10.3.9
or you could do Ctrl+Option+Command +Eject Key and shut down that way, the same keystroke minus the Ctrl key to sleep. I wonder what how one would restart with a keystroke...

Edit: aha! Restart is Ctrl+Command+Eject.

But then how about the other options that other Apps give. Yeah It's great to have individual keystokes for everything but how to you (Windows term) Tab though the options?
I was only using the Power option window as an example.

I can't seem to move any of the Bluehighlights anywhere.

easy, control+F2, then use the arrow keys in the apple menu. to do this, full keyboard access must be enabled.

Ok cheers buddy, I'll have to try that when I get home. What is full keyboard access? I have access to the keyboard or is this something else?

full access is a more open access for more shortcuts and such, you can basically have no mouse and use your mac.

ok ok, full keyboard access is this a myth? I press ctrl+F1 but I end up dimming my screen.

Anyone know how to get this to work on a MacBook?

Open the system preferences and select Keyboard and Mouse. Then under the Keyboard Shortcuts at the bottom is the Full keyboard access option
