OS 10.6 - Help!

Okay, I have no clue where to put this but i just need help. So I got a new laptop, the macbook pro. I had an apple before but I was wandering around on here and this app got opened. only problem is I don't know how to close it, and it won't shut up. It is this black bar that tells me everything I do and every time I go o a site it has to point out everything and won't let me scroll down. I might be able to shut it down if I knew what it was called. could someone please help!

What app got opened? In all Mac Apps with App selected and in menubar clicking on App name drops down window with Quit selection.
If your computer is talking to you check settings in Apple/Sys Preferences/Universal Access - some may have been selected on inadvertently.

Sounds like you have VoiceOver turned on. Press Fn-Command-F5 to turn it off.
