OS 10.6 - Fresh install from 10.6 Boxed Set?

Just curious. Some are doing Fresh / Clean "Erase and Install" from the upgrade discs. Is there any difference with the Box Set discs?

Yes you can. Check this thread with video how it is done:

I'm going to assume that it is basically the same proceedure with the Box Set discs.

Yes, because they're not upgrade discs in the traditional sense. They're full blown installation discs.
