Will the Snow Leopard erase downloaded applications and files? Or will it just upgrade the computer with your stuff in tact

apparently it will move any incompatible programs to a file marked as such, but everything should still be there.

Waiting for the game that takes full advantage of a 124bit, 3.5GHz, 8-core, 64Gig-RAM system.

Unless you specifically choose "Erase and Install", why would an OS upgrade wipe out and erase your applications?

If you're trying to ask this question again by cleverly rewording it, the answer is the same.
