The internal disc on my old G4 Power PC (Tiger 10.4.11) failed 2 days ago so I 'bit the bullet' and purchased a new iMac. I had backed up all my data on an external hard drive and so felt reassured that all my 'old' data (mac format) would be accessible and transferable to my new Leopard (10.5.6) iMac.
Yet, I find I cannot get into my old address book, emails or my old iPhoto library, for example, which I know are stored on the connected external hard drive.
Could anyone advise please. (I am running time machine).
Thanks
