Dear gents,

What does the number (in my case: (3) ) means behind the "name" of my computer? (Visible at left on desktop). Can I get rid of it in an easy way.
It appeared out of the blue and I don't know why.

Cheers
QUOTE Thanks

If u mean the name of the icon for your HD that is on the desktop, you can click to select it and 'get info' from 'file' menu and rename it in the window that opens. If that is not what u mean then a pic might make it clear.
QUOTE Thanks
