hi ... i'm new to this but thought i might ask for some help
i'm running OSX 10.4.11 i need to install the new flash player 10 i download the install flash player 10 UB.dmg file from flash website to desktop this opens a finder folder with a red adobe flash player.pkg icon when i double click this a stuffit error window appears: "there is a problem with the expansion destination - the destination folder "/volumes/install flash player 10 ub 2" is on a locked volume. please select another destination" i have the latest stuffit update, i have done disk utility repair, i have all new software updates i think i have set the permissions for this volume to me and read/write surely it is not this complicated??? please help??? thank you |

I just installed the Flash Player 10. Double clicking on the Adobe Flash Player icon (installer package) should open an installer dialog window with the install instructions and steps. Stuffit is not required. The package will uncompress automatically while it's installing.
I suggest downloading it again and try once more. Regards. |

It looks like Stuffit has somehow become the default app for .pkg files, the default app should be Installer |
