Hi
I have Mac OS X Version 10.3.9 I play online poker on a site called Hollywood Poker and it worked fine until today when it is now suddenly saying I need Java Version 1.5 or above. It then says to click on the Apple Menu then Software Update to update Java. But, when I click Software Update to check for updates there is no Java update. Can anyone advise if I can get Java 1.5 on my Mac and if so, the best way to get this? Many thanks Guy |

I don't know if this exists in Panther but if it does, open up /Applications/Utilities/Java Preferences.app. What versions of Java does it list there?
You can also open up Terminal (/Applications/Utilities/Terminal.app) and type "java -version" (without the quotes) to see what version of Java you are using. As a note, Java 5 = version 1.5.0. From what I have seen, Java 5 doesn't appear to be available for Panther (10.3). It is possible that the site updated their software, which has increased the requirements.
