Power Mac - Power Mac Drives are full how to move pictures folder?

Hello,

We have a Power Mac. The main MAC HD has only 9 gb of memory left.
Our additional drive (hitachi) has only 85 gb free.

We are photographers...So our pictures folder has 160gb of files.

Seems like we need to add another drive to the computer.

But how does one move the pictures folder to the new drive? Just drag and drop?

You've got it! Mount a storage drive to your PM desktop, and then drag the pics to it. Make sure the ext storage is formatted correctly, ie. HFS for Mac-only, or MS-DOS for cross-platform. If you buy an ext HD inside an enclosure, go firewire, or combo USB-FW, rather than USB only. For storage purposes only, you don't necessarily have to buy an enclosure, a ATA/SATA-USB2 adaptor kit will do the job for about 1/3 the price.
