OS 10.5 - Mail in 10.5.7

Since I upgraded to MacOS 10.5.7 the RSS feeds that I consult in Mail function erratically. Most of them are not updated, although some are. I know there are new messages because they appear in my iPhone.
What's more the RSS 'button' in Firefox to subscribe to an RRS feed in Mail does not work
Has anyone else encountered these problems?

I've definitely noticed the RSS issues in Mail you refer to, but my RSS button in FF works fine...
