OS 10.5 - Mac Server Installation

Hi
my company bought a mac server for testing. I stuck on installation. I followed Xserve User Guide. Message Turning On Xserve for the First Time didn't appeared. but I continued and . I choose startup method dvd, apple icon appeared and after a while whole screen turned yellow and no setup Assistant appeared. What should I do to install OS correctly.

Did it boot into the Server Install Page?

I would assume you put in the media, and held down the "C" key to boot to the optical drive?

Dumb question... the Xserv has a DVD drive correct?

i think yes. i can hear that dvd drive is working. apple icon appears on the screen and after about 1 min everything stop and screen turns yellow. that's all.

Got me stumped on that one. Never seen or heard of that before.

If you have another Mac, put the 10.5 server dvd in it,and boot the other Mac in Target Disk Mode (Hold T as it's booting). While they are both connected via Firewire

Boot up the Xserve and hold the Option key down, and lets see what it does.

We bought one for testing. I will try other installation methods. thanks for help
