3 gig ram 10.4.11 we manage about 500 mac some machines are experiencing slowness when server volumes are mounted. when the volume is unmounted the slowness goes away. the problem seemed to happen when we updated the operating system with latest updates for 10.4.11. any advice would be much appreciated. thank you |

Are they SMB volumes? SMB support in 10.4 is pretty poor and is often slow. 10.5 solves those issues, or you could try a 3rd party smb client instead.
